Information and Advice
Delivered in various formats and community languages on the harms of drugs and how to safely reduce drug use.
Counselling
An in-house counselling service to support service users to overcome past trauma and better understand the reasons behind their addiction.
Assessment of Need
A detailed assessment of the needs of the service users to create a bespoke package of support for each individual.
Outreach Support
Drug workers will visit service users in their homes and places of residence to offer encouragemt and advice as needed.
Education
Workshops on the harms of drug taking delivered at various community settings, including local schools, places of worship and Islamic seminaries.
Other services
Other services will include access to trained Counsellors, qualified Careers Advisers to help create CV’s and support with job search, Spiritual advice and guidance and peer mentoring.
Referrals to Rehabilitation centres and Detox
Fast tracked referrals to Rehabilitation and Detox centres to those who require specialist support
Group Support
Service users will be invited to weekly meetings and a trained worker will deliver the 12 step programme. The 12 step programme is a recognised support programme to help with addiction. Working in groups will give the service user the extra support and encouragement required to overcome their addiction, knowing they are not alone and talking to people who are going through a similar journey.
Family Support
Advice and support to the families of service users. The Spinney Hill team will work with family members, explain the programme so they can support the service user in their recovery, where there is a family dispute, Spinney Hill will work with members of the family to resolve the issues.
Female Counsellors
Trained female counsellors to support women who prefer female only therapists.
