Recovery Program – Stage 2 (TP)

Stage 2 of the pathway is delivered by Turning Point and the Spinney Hill Spiritual Team.

Turning Point is the drug support service commissioned by the Local Authority to provide advice and support to drug and alcohol addicts in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. As part of our journey to establish Spinney Hill, members of our team met with Turning Point and expressed our concern that members of our communities were are not accessing Turning Point’s services. We felt that a significant reason for this was the geographical location of Turning Point. Therefore Turning Point has allocated a worker to be based within our Spinney Hill offices for one day a week.

All Spinney Hill, clients will have booked, weekly appointments with a Turning Point adviser at our offices. The Turning Point adviser works with the service user to help him/her make reductions to their drug use in a safe way until the point where they become drug free. For some individuals, it may also be necessary to attend a detox or rehabilitation programme. In such cases, Turning Point will make this referral and the service user coming through Spinney Hill, be fast tracked.
