Recovery Program – Stage 3 and 4

Recovery Program – Stage 3 and 4

Stage 3: Community Outreach

Stage 3 of the pathway involves the service user participating in positive activities.
It is imperative that recovering addicts occupy their time by engaging with positive activities, as this has shown to reduce the temptation to slip back into previous negative behaviours. This can be in the form of things such as sports, attending the gym, volunteering and giving time to help others.
Once a client is approaching the end of the pathway, they will be referred to a trained Careers Adviser. This Adviser will help them to create a CV (curriculum vitae) as well as help in both searching for a job and then supporting them in finding employment. All in order that all the positive changes can be sustained.

Stage 4

At this stage, all service user’s that have successfully completed the pathway will be invited to become Peer Mentor’s themselves, in order to help mentor a new referral through their journey.
