DO YOU NEED SOME HELP NOW?
About us
Spinney Hill was established in order to help address the growing number of people from our communities that have developed, an addiction to drugs and/or alcohol.
Unfortunately drug use has been common within our communities for many years. However, in recent times there been a difference in the types of drugs being consumed. Whereas, historically, individuals consumed ‘soft drugs like Cannabis, more recently Class A drugs such as Cocaine and Heroin have become more common.
Our Recovery Program
At Spinney Hill we believe that human beings are made up of three component parts: the body, the mind and the soul.
As a consequence, we have developed a unique pathway that aims to address and overcome deficiencies in all three of these aspects. We believe that if there are deficiencies in any one of these three components parts, it will be difficult for an addict to make sustained changes.
Drugs A to Z
A directory of Drug and Alcohol information at hand to help you gain better knowledge.
You don't have to be a user to learn more about Drugs and Alcohol, however knowing more about it will help you to prevent, recover and help others. We have tried to gather facts about its uses effects, risks and the law pertaining it to help you understand.
Testimonials
I just want to take time out to say, what an amazing team you have working at Spinney Hill. You help us broken brothers to be fixed again, I just want to say Jazakallah to the Spinney Hill Recovery Team for being understanding and not judging me for being an addict and supporting me to overcome my addiction. I am now married and have a job none of this would have been imaginable a few short months ago before I met you.
Now, as a recovering addict, you are still supporting me as I know you are always there at the end of the telephone if I need a chat.
You have also given me an opportunity to work as a Peer mentor to help others, I hope I can give something back to you and the community through this.
Always in your debt

Just wanted to thank you brothers, who stood by me and helped me with my recovery journey.
Being an addict for 25 years, all hope in myself was lost until Spinney Hill reached out to help me and through your network other organisations also supported my recovery with food vouchers so I had a hot meal. Housing support so I was not sleeping on the streets, and the spiritual support that gave me the strength to over come the addiction where no therapy in the past had worked.
The rehab benefited me so much, today I have my family, I speak to my parents and through the mercy of the almighty have a relation with my daughter who I had no contact with for 16 years.
All praises to the almighty and definitely recommend your services to those who are still struggling or need support to become substance free.

I was given help from the Spinney Hill project to help me with my drug addiction. They were very professional in giving me advice and what I could achieve if I followed their programme. They worked with my family and encouraged them to support me, visited my house and encouraged my extended family to believe that I could do this.
Spinney Hill supported me and then referred me to a rehabilitation programme where I stayed for 3 months. It was the best decision of my life and for the first time in 20 years I am drug free.
I would recommend anyone thinking about getting help – don’t delay! Ring the brothers; they don’t judge, they are kind and caring and will go that extra mile to help you.
Get the help!

My name is Suleman I have been an Alcoholic and drug addict for over 25 years, I met some of the brothers from Spinney Hill by chance and then my journey began. At the time, I was living in a filthy flat with lots of unsavoury people coming and going. They visited my flat at night and sat with me, talked to me and gave me hope. They washed my clothes so I had clean clothes, brought me food, then to support my recovery moved me out of the flat, negotiating outstanding rent with my landlord and found me a temporary flat. Whilst there, they continued to provide food and clean clothes, and when they felt I was ready they referred me to a specialist rehab place. On my return, they again found me accommodation and continued to support me.
I can’t express how far they went in order to ensure that I got better, they did all this in their own time as volunteers without getting paid.
I would encourage anyone who wants help to contact this project get the help and don’t wait.
