Cookie Policy
Last updated: 13 October 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Spinney Hill Drugs, Alcohol & Addiction Support (run by The Recovery Network) uses cookies and similar technologies on spinneyhill.org.uk. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They help the site work, remember your choices and tell us how the site is used.
Your choices
When you first visit our site, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. Strictly necessary cookies are always used because the site cannot work properly without them. Analytics cookies are only set if you click “Accept” – if you click “Reject”, Google Analytics does not load at all. You can change your mind at any time using the “Cookie settings” link on the banner, or by clearing cookies in your browser. Most browsers also let you block cookies altogether – see ico.org.uk for help.

Third-party content
- Google Maps – the map on our Contact page is provided by Google, which may set its own cookies when the map loads. See Google’s cookie policy.
- Google Fonts – our site uses fonts served by Google. This does not set cookies, but your IP address is sent to Google so the font can be delivered.
- Stripe – when you donate online you are taken to Stripe’s secure payment page. Stripe uses cookies on its own pages to process payments safely and prevent fraud. These are covered by Stripe’s cookie policy; no Stripe cookies are set on our donation form itself.
- Social media links – links to our Facebook, X (Twitter) and Instagram pages do not set cookies until you click through to those sites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the cookies we use change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
